BATMAN ’66
CLIENT:
DC Comics
DESCRIPTION:
DC Comics was in the midst of a heavy push of the newly acquired rights to the Adam West 1960s Batman television show.
Working on this series was my professional dream come true.
KING TUT
DC Comics had initiated a phase of producing material with a digital animation element to attract more readership to the Comixology version of Batman ’66.
Developing a coherent file structure for the production department became the project’s biggest challenge.

BANE
Next in the Batman ’66 series was a re-imagining of popular Bat-villain BANE.
Using actor Ted Cassidy as a masked model, writer Jeff Parker and I quickly drafted the character as a South American dictator bent on his search for ultimate power.
This issue also included appearances by Frank Gorshin’s Riddler and Yvonne Craig’s Batgirl.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Character Design
- Illustration, Color

RA’S AL GHUL
While working on this series I also pitched Batman ’66: League Of Shadows. The series would serve to introduce the ’66 version of Bat-Adversaries Ra’s & Talia Al Ghul and many lesser known ’66 Bat-Villains as League members.
The entire Batman ’66 series was discontinued prior to bringing this series to fruition.

ATARI’S SWORDQUEST
The next series I was invited to develop was a re-imagining of Atari’s SwordQuest comic book — originally a 1980s adventure-fantasy.
The story was conceived as a video game-heist. The visual and character design was inspired by popular films like Ocean’s Eleven & Heat.
The book featured several gaming overtones which I constantly considered when constructing the visuals for the series.
Having the entire Atari catalogue as reference allowed for a great deal of visual inclusion from the 70s/80s retro console library.
